Selling Too Hard in Article Writing?

Article writing does not have the design to be a hard sale. It is very rare that any article directory will take sales copy. If you are promoting your product or service too hard, your article could face rejection. Even worse, you could be turning off anyone who reads the article you have written. Consider this scenario. If you walked into a car dealership because you noticed a fantastic, new car and you know you will be purchasing one in the next months; do you like it when a salesperson is on you from the start? You just want to look and learn, first.

The same is true when writing articles. You should invest time in a soft sell since you do want the reader to get back to your website. Yet, you can let your resource box do the selling for you. In your article, write the facts. Explain a problem. Do not use the article to sell your product or service.

What can you talk about?

Talk about the product features and why they are beneficial.

Write about the reason for the product. What does it solve?

Go into detail about the topic of an information product.

There are many ways to talk to your readers without selling to them. It is your job to do just that: talk. Give them information they want to know while teasing them about what you have to offer. Then, use your resource box and a landing page (or even your blog) to get the sale.
